In European countries, diabetes - is a way of life, and in Armenia, it is still a serious disease. The issue is further complicated by the absence of a national program of the Ministry of Health against diabetes, a lack of funding, and incorrect awareness.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), Armenia ranked 1st in the region in mortality from diabetes and has the highest prevalence of diabetes in the Caucasus. According to the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) every 10th person in Armenia will be living with diabetes by 2030.

In Armenia there are about 400 children with diabetes, but their number is growing every day.
