Every Thursday, the government of Armenia holds a cabinet session headed by the Prime Minister.

When issues of a secretive nature are discussed, the session is held behind closed doors.

At today’s session there was one such issue, which was presented by Deputy Yerevan Mayor Kamo Arenyan.

What was discussed is anybody’s guess.

But there is room for speculation, especially given the situation in the streets of Yerevan regarding the recent transit fare hikes.

He’s most likely informing government officials about the municipality’s plans to resolve the growing protests and citizen initiatives in opposition to the fare hikes.

Maybe he’s telling them how and why the municipality got into this mess in the first place.
