Cops Detain 10 Transportation Activists Seeking Entry to Yerevan Municipality
This morning police prevented a group of activists from entering the Yerevan Municipality seeking to participate in an open door session of the Council of Elders.
Lena Nazaryan, told Hetq that cops had formed a barricade before the entrance and detained seven activists who tried to make their way inside.
The activists wanted to voice, yet again, their demand that Yerevan Municipality Transportation Department Chief Henrik Navasardyan and Yerevan Transport Director Misak Hambardzoumyan be brought to account for their involvement in recent transit rate hike imbroglio that caused a wave of civic protests in the Armenian capital.
