New U.S. Minsk Group Co-Chair to Visit Artsakh Today
Ambassador James Warlick visited Yerevan on September 10-12 in his new capacity as U.S. co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group.
Ambassador Warlick discussed the ongoing peace process with President Serzh Sargsian and Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, and the security situation with Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan.
He reiterated the United States' desire to help the sides reach a peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and reaffirmed his country's commitment to working with the Russian Federation and France as co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group.
Ambassador Warlick will travel to Nagorno-Karabakh on September 12 to continue his introductory consultations and see firsthand the situation on the line of contact.
