Nairit Factory Workers Again Take to the Street to Demand Back Wages
Employees of Yerevan’s Nairit Rubber Factory again gathered outside the financially strapped Soviet-era plant this morning, planning to march on the Presidential Palace to voice their demand that they be paid back wages owed them.
Workers say they haven’t received an average of 10-12 months worth of wages.
Before starting out en masse, the president of the factory’s labor union and a few workers headed out to meet Armen Movsisyan, Armenia’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources.
