PM Sargsyan: "In fast changing world, Armenia needs a generation that can keep up"

At the opening of today’s conference of regional education ministers of EU Eastern Partnership and Black Sea Economic Cooperation member states, Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan noted that  in today’s ever-changing world Armenia needs a generation that can keep up.

The conference will mainly focus on issues regarding the development of higher education in Europe.

PM Sargsyan recalled that at the last Davos Summit in China, world leaders were united in the belief that the best way to meet the new challenges of the day was to enact much needed educational reforms.

Addressing students at the conference, PM Sargsyan said that adjunct bodies needed to be established at colleges and universities so that human potential could be better integrated into the manufacturing process.

Attending the two day conference is Armenian Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan, Head of the European Union Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Traian Hristea, and other European education specialists.
