Vandals Again Damage Car of Pre-Parliament Member Garo Yeghnukian

On October 15, somebody slashed the tires of Garo Yeghnukian, a member of the Pre-Parliament organization in Armenia active in various civic protests.

Last night, another vehicle used by Yeghnukian was damaged as well by unknown assailants.

Yeghnukian says that the attacks on his property stem from his active participation in demonstrations protesting against developments at Yerevan’s Pak Shouka.

The closed market, a cultural landmark in Yerevan, was purchased by Member of Parliament and Yerevan City owner Samvel Aleksanyan.

Aleksanyan proceeded to alter the architectural design of the structure, despite pronouncements from the Yerevan Municipality and the Ministry of Culture that violations had been committed.

Supporters of Aleksanyan hung a large photo of Yeghnukian on the outside wall of the market, labeling him an “outside paid agent”.
