Nalbandyan and Lavrov Lay Groundwork for Putin's Visit to Armenia

Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan and his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov yesterday discussed preparations for Vladimir Putin’s visit to Armenia early in December.

At the Moscow meeting, the two ministers also discussed processes leading to Eurasian regional integration and preliminary measures being taken regarding Armenia’s membership in the Customs Union.

Bilateral agreements, now in the pipeline and to be signed at the next such meeting, were also touched upon.

The ministers also talked about strategic and technical military cooperation designed to strengthen security in the South Caucasus.
