Armenia’s Chamber of Advocates President Ara Zohrabyan has  described the recent special report issued by the Human Rights Defender (HRD) focusing on corruption in the courts as having no legal status.

In a statement, Zohrabyan says that the report claims that bribery is rampant in the courts, but fails to provide any specific proof.

Zohrabyan argued that the HRD, by relying on anonymous sources, has not only failed to produce anything of practical value, but has merely raised the level of public mistrust towards judges and the courts.
