Dr. Evelyn N. Farkas, U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Russia, Ukraine, and Eurasia will arrive in Armenia for a series of bilateral defense consultations from December 18 to19.

During her visit, Dr. Farkas will meet with Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandian, Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan, and experts from the academic community.  

According to the U.S. Embassy in Yerevan, topics of Dr. Farkas’ discussions will include areas of cooperation that are beneficial to both countries such as coalition and peacekeeping operations, training between Armenian military and forces from the U.S. European Command and the Kansas National Guard, and regional security.
