Reporters' Protest Temporarily Disrupts Armenia's National Assembly
As Armenia’s National Assembly was about to vote on ratifying a natural gas treaty with Russia, a number of reporters rushed into the chamber calling on MPs to vote down the measure.
The sudden move rankled members of the majority Republican Party who started to verbally abuse the reporters.
Before calm was restored to the chamber, Heritage Party MP Zaruhie Postanjyan quietly went around and removed the electronic voting cards of all Republican Party deputies.
