Gov't Claims Big Biz Revenues Increased after Introduction of New Sales Register Devices

The Armenian government claims that the July 2013 introduction of new sales register machines in commercial operations with sales of 500 million AMD or more has led to an increase in declared revenues.

Figures published by the State Revenue Committee 9SRC) claim that revenues jumped by 3.5 billion AMD (4.7%) in July 2013 when compared to July 2102. In August 2013, revenues in these large commercial enterprises increased by 7 billion AMD (9.6%) over the same month in 2012.September 2013 saw an increase of 10.4 billion AMD (15.4%) over the same month in 2012.

The SRC did not specify how the new machines specifically contributed to the rise in declared revebues.
