At a press conference today at the "Hayeli Club" former Armenian Minister of Nature Protection Vardan Ayvazyan refuted claims that recently appeared in Hetq that he had been named a defendant by the International Court of Arbitration in New York on September 5th.

The case stems from the time when Mr. Ayvazyan, as Minister of Nature Protection, granted exploratory mining licenses to two separate companies for the same site. One of those companies was Golden Ore.

Mr. Ayvazyan went on to claim that he had been sent to paperwork or summons and that the entire matter was farcical. He claimed that he recently visited the United States but received no such notification about a court case.
