On November 18th an agreement was signed between Deno Gold Mining Company and Armen Movsisyan, the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, which obliges Deno Gold to maintain the current number of workers at the plant.Starting on November 8th, Deno Gold workers had been staging a variety of work actions, including strikes, to protest pending job and wage cuts. Several days later a high-ranking ministerial delegation had been dispatched to the area by Armenia's Prime Minister. The agreement also calls for the rehiring of those workers who had already received dismissal notices.
