Armenian National Congress Launches Organization in Defense of Politcal Prisoners

A new organization called "Evrokanch" was launched by the Armenian National Congress headed by former Armenian President Levon Ter-Petrosyan. The main focus of "Evrokanch" will be to support the families of political prisoners and those in hiding due to politcal reasons emanating from the events of March 1st. An account has been set-up in the HayEconom Bank to collect funds to socially assist the families and to help defray their legal expenses. In addition, funds will go towards filing legal action with the European Court of Human Rights protesting the validity of various court verdicts.
