Yesterday, during the official visit of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs to Baku, Yuri Merzlyakov, the Russian Co-Chair, stated, in an interview with the “Lider” TV station, that the purpose of their visit was to discuss future follow-up steps with the President of Azerbaijan stemming from the Moscow Declaration regarding Karabakh.U.S. Co-Chair Matthew Bryza, while noting that the conflict couldn’t be settled unilaterally and needed the agreement of both sides, also stressed that any settlement must start from the basis of preserving the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. He stated, “Only after this will it be possible to discuss other issues.”
