NKR Agriculture Minister Tells Farmers not to Worry about Selling Produce

During the recent trip of NKR President Bako Sahakyan to the regions of Kashatagh and Shahumyan, rural community leaders raised the ongoing problem confronted by farmers regarding the sale of their produce. In response, Armo Tsatryan, NKR Vice-Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture, has stated that such a problem doesn’t exist due to the Artsakh Fruit canning plant that started operation a few months ago. Artsakh Fruit has already processed and canned some 500 tons of vegetables, fruit and assorted berries. “More than 30 types of canned goods have been produced” Minister Tsatryan commented. During an interview with Hetq the Minister noted that the Stepanakert milk plant is now undergoing repairs and that there will be milk collection units throughout the country. Minister Tsatryan confidently stated, “In the near future there will be no problem of selling farm produce in Karabakh.”
