Responding to the question posed by Hetq as to what ideological similarities exist between the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) and the Communist Party of China, Aram Safaryan, who heads the PAP’s fraction in the National Assembly stated, “We have friendly relations with the Chinese Communist Party that have become a tradition since 2006. We have received a delegation of Chinese business owners, a delegation of Chinese political officials, our Party’s President was recently in China and we are awaiting the arrival in Yerevan of a member of the Political Bureau of China’s Communist Party. Our exchanges stem from one basis that we wish to have good, friendly and mutually beneficial relations and joint economic projects with China.
