On November 4th, NKR Prime Minister Araik Haroutyunyan dismissed Vasily Nalbandyan as Regional Head of Shahumyan. Mr. Nalbandyan had handed in his resignation letter before the decree of the Prime Minister. On several occasions the Prime Minister had expressed his dissatisfaction with the quality of work carried out by various administrative bodies in the region and the NKR and the country’s Oversight Council Chairman had mentioned the fact that monies allocated for various development projects in the region had gone missing. On the same day the Prime Minister named Vidaly Danielyan, who according to Hetq sources is an employee of the National Security Service, to replace the ousted official.
