NA Deputy Levon Sargsyan is Questioned by Police in the “Adnaklasnik Affair”

Two National Assembly Deputies, Levon Khachatryan and Levon Sargsyan (aka Floumill Lyov) have been questioned regarding the recent incident at the Adnaklasnik Café in downtown Yerevan. This was the information provided at a new conference held today by Sayat Shirinyan, Head of the Police Department’s Public Affairs Division. The incident in question took place on September 21st at the Adnaklasnik Café during which Andranik Babayan was severely beaten and died in hospital after a eight day coma. Artur Sahakyan, the “RadioLour” Program Director at Armenian Public TV declared that the person responsible for the savage attack was Deputy Levon Sargsyan and his criminal gang. (See: “If “Meat-Grinder” Lyovik and His Gang Aren’t Arrested They’ll Go on Committing Crimes") Later on Deputy Police Chief Gagik Hambardzumyan stated that since the name of Levon Sargsyan wasn’t even mentioned in the testimony given by Artur Sahakyan the NA Deputy hadn’t been questioned. Mr. Shirinyan explained that, “Most likely his name was mentioned by someone for the need to arise to listen to what Levon Sargsyan has to say during the preliminary investigation. Given that there are major contradictions in the testimony heretofore given I’d prefer not to go into more detail and damage the preliminary investigation.”
