President Sargsyan Meets With Human Rights Ombudsman
Today President Sargsyan met with Armen Harutyunyan, Armenia's Human Rights Ombudsman. The two discussed the general situation of human rights and personal liberties in Armenia as well as current problems confronting the country in this regard. The meeting resulted in President Sargsyan issuing a directive to the Minister of Justice and his legal affairs assistant to carry out an official review of penal institutions in Armenia regarding recent reports of violence being employed in these institutions.
