Tigranakert" Cultural Preserve" Slated for Karabakh

The RMK government today, passed a bill designed to create a "Tigranakert" historical-cultural preserve. The preserve will include the area of the Tigranakert ruins and the lower valley of the Khachenaget River and will aim to protect the natural environment contained within as well as the historical, cultural and spiritual sites present. The Department of Tourism will be given until the end of 2009 to come up with a suitable program intended to develop the preserve and an adjoining museum complex.
