Wives of the "7" Defendants - "Our Husbands are Innocent"
Today at the "Ourbat Club" the wives of the "Seven" individuals chraged with crimes surrounding the events of March 1st met with reporters and called on the public to remain vigilant, participate in the upcoming court proceedings and demand justice. The wives first read a prepared statement calling for the immediate release of political prisoners and stating that the illegitimate regime of Armenia was entering the culmination phase of settling political scores.
Responding to a reporter's question as to what they thought the outcome of the trial would be and whether she would like to meet with the Armenian president, Melissa Brown, wife of Alexander Arzumanyan, responded, "Serzh Sargsyan is the author of all this, why would I want to see him? We must discuss the issues at hand with the people, with you. I have nothing to say to Serzh Sargsyan, our husbands are innocent." Anna Malkhasyan, wife of Myasnik Malkhasyan, noted that their husbands didn't have a criminal past so why should they be tried. Just the opposite, she stressed, "We are proud of their past." Sasun Mikayelyan's wife Susanna Mikayelyan stated they expected nothing from either the judge or the trial since they already knew who would be presiding over the court case.
