The Press Office of the Armenian Defense Ministry reports that Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan today received a delegation of Russian-Armenian comunity leaders headed by Mr. Ararat Gomtsyan, the ROA Consul to the Russian Federation. DM Ohanyan noted the work carried out by Consul Gomtsyan in the repatriation of youth of Armenian origin back to the ROA and in facilitating their military service in the Armenian Armed Forces. On orders of the Defense Minister the following citizens of the Russian Federation were granted medals for their efforts to spur Armenian-Russian cooperation and their assistance to the ROA Armed Forces. The Marshall Baghramyan Medal was awarded to Albert Shamilyan, Andrei Kegeyan and Armen Stepanyan; the Andranik Ozanian Medal went to Artyom Arzumanyan, Edward Vardanyan and Ter-Aram Hunanyan and Jirayr Mkhoyan and Harutyun Sourmalyan were awarded the Drastamat Kanayan Medal.
