Several days ago residents of Yerevan's Davtashen district got in touch with Hetq regarding the mounds of garbage that had been accumulating in an upper stretch of a park straddling two neighborhoods in their district. Hetq published their protest and addressed it to district leader Artur Gevorgyan who promised that local residents would seen the area cleaned up in a matter of days.

Sure enough, Davtashen resident Irina Arakelyan has informed Hetq that workers were out in force for a few days straight cleaning up the park and that now the area is litter free. Ms. Arakelyan noted however, that she has witnessed residents of a neighboring building dumping their garbage pails in the area, even after it had been cleaned.
