Five attorneys representing the "March 1st Seven" co-defendants have publicly made a list of demands regarding the ongoing court case that has been postponed by the presiding judge on several occasions. The statment has been signed by Liparit Simonyan, Melanya Aroustamyan, Varduhi Elbakyan, Hovik Arsenyan and Stepan Voskanyan. Their list of demands include the following points. 1. Insure the right of our clients to a just trial and to insure the unhampered video taping of trial sessions by the news media. 2. To insure a public court examination and to insure entry to the court of our defendants' relatives, friends and supporters, while at the same time safeguarding order and the rule of law in the courtroom. 3. To create an equal playing field for both the defense and prosecution.
