Discussed during the meeting were issues of cooperation with the World Bank and possible assistance from the institution to help Armenia overcome the challenges posed by the global economic and financial crisis. Prime Minister Sargsyan expressed the hope that the expectations of the Armenian people regarding future constructive cooperation with the World Bank would be borne out, especially in light of the agreements and meetings that were signed during his trip to Washington D.C. last year. During the talk it was noted that Armenia has always been viewed as a country to be exemplified in terms of the reforms it has sought to implement.
