Today, at approximately 8:30 pm, Deputy Police Chief Colonel Gevor Mheryan was killed in the vicinity of his house. "Hetq's" police source reports that Colonel Mheryan died on the spot from a gun shot wound to the head. An investigation is underway to clarify the circumstances of the killing. We should remind readers that Gevorg Mheryan, aged 33, served as an assistant to former RoA President Robert Kocharyan. After the 2008  February presidential elections he was appointed deputy police chief.
