Is the Government Reconsidering Immediate Mandatory "Cash Register" Project?

Today, at a working government session, RoA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, addressed the issue of mandating the widespead use of cash registers in business locales and the issue of current tax reform legislation in general. The Prime Minister commented that, "All the reforms now being enacted must be presented to the public in detail given that the recent reforms we've enacted frequently have lead to complaints for the simple reason that the public isn't well informed about them. When we have met with representatives of small and medium sized businesses, and organizers and employees of markets, and clarified the aims of the reforms and the methods involved, we have received support for those plans." Prime Minister Sargsyan viewed this as meaning that greater attention must be paid to the work of the press and information divisions of the various government agencies and departments involved to see that correct and timely information in this sector reaches the public. He added, "If we are undertaking certain reforms, all those to be effected by the changes must be informed in advance. Only afterwards can we put the reforms into operation. If we find that we haven't adequately prepared the public for such changes then it might be more effective to postpone their implementation since they will lead to negative results."
