Governments of Armenia and Russia Sign $500 Million Credit Deal
The RoA Ministry of Finance reports that an initial agreement has been reached by the governments of Armenia and Russia regarding a $500 million state credit that Moscow will grant Yerevan. The credit is designed to help neutralize the negative consequences of the world financial crisis.
The credit will be provided with terms of fifteen years of which four will include "privileged conditions". The financial agreement does not impose the implementation of any other financial commitments by Armenia. When asked by "Hetq" to specify the terms of the credit, the press office at the Ministry of Finance responded by saying that they couldn't elaborate on information appearing in the ministry website.
