The Mayor's Office of Yerevan had denied the permit request of the Armenian National Congress (HAK) to stage a public rally on March 1st either in the vicinity of the Matenadaran or at the plaza on Northern Avenue. In the statement issued by the Mayor's Press Office it is suggested that the rally organizers hold the event on the site of the Dynamo Sports Arena. Meanwhile the Mayor's Office has issued a permit to the People's Party of Armenia, led by Tigran Karapetyan, to hold an event in the vicinity of the Myasnikyan statue on February 28 at 5 p.m.
