Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan today met with a delegation from the ALROSA Co. Ltd, one of the world's leading companies in the field of diamond exploration and the mining and sales of rough diamonds. The delegation was headed by the firm's executive director Sergei Vynbornov. The parties discussed issues regarding future cooperation between Armenian companies engaged in diamond reprocessing and Russia's largest diamond producer. ALROSA's president presented a large-scale credit proposal to Armenia that would allow Armenian reprocessing companies to be able to purchase sufficient quantities of raw diamonds for the next several years. The two sides agreed to study the matter further, taking into account the risks involved given the current financial and economic crisis.
