On Saturday, May 14, the opening ceremonies of a forum of Armenian and Turkish NGO's will take place in Yerevan bringing together over thirty such groups. In a statement circulated by the Civil Society Institute NGO it is stressed that the aim of the forum is to spur dialogue between NGO's in the two neighboring states and to develop the possibility of joint action regarding regional issues. Main topics to be discussed at the forum will be gender, youth, democracy, the rule of law and the environment. Forum participants will also review various project proposals and will come up with a plan of action.
