The Armavir Regional Authority has informed "Hetq" that a number of Russian business delegations will be visiting the district in the next two months. In particular, the director of the firm Best Holding, based in Sverdlov, Russian, will visit Armavir on April 8-10. Best Holding has a chain of 2,500 stores in the Sverdlov region. While in Armavir, the company's director will sign a number of business agreements with Ashot Ghahramyan, Armavir's Regional Governor. The two parties have already struck a prelminary agreement for the firm to import large stocks of canned fruits, wine and cognac from Armavir. On April 24, a delegation headed by the regional governor of Sternova, Russia, will arrive in Armavir for a two day working visit. Mr. Ghahramyan noted that an agreement is in the works to export local produce to them as well. Talks are also underway with the Russian "Zil" auto manufacturer to set up a joint factory in Armavir on the site of the present lathe plant and with the "Ural" tractor manufacturing company.
