Artsakh ARF Disagrees With Coalition Pullout
Davit Ishkhanyan, representative of the ARF's Central Committee of Artsakh, stated to "Hetq" that, "The statement of the Supreme Body of the ARF in Armenia regarding its entry and recent pull out of the ruling coalition is a decision of the party structure in Armenia. It is not a decision of the entire ARF."
The Artsakh ARF representative went on to state that, "The Supreme Body probably has corresponding preconditions or underlying reasons to leave the coalition. In any event the decision of the ARF remains a decision and as such it will naturally always be respected within the party. It is their right." Regarding the Karabakh conflict settlement, Mr. Ishkhanyan stated, "As I noted a few days ago in my interview, there is the matter of creating a Karabakh front in a diplomatic sense that should not be created by the people of Karabakh but for the people of Karabakh. And, I believe that in this sense we shouldn't be talking about leaving the government but rather jointly working with the authorities towards the preparation of our next steps." He again based the difference in the positions of the Karabakh and Armenia ARF structures on the party's principle of decentralization which "dictates work in every area, taking into account the unique characteristics of each region."
