Deputy Zohrabyan - “The public will be informed about the ‘road map’ soon”

29_04-n-zohrabyanAt the request of "Hetq", Prosperous Armenia Party Deputy Naira Zohrabyan commented on yesterday's parliamentary closed door deliberations regarding developments in the normalization process of Armenian-Turkish relations. She stated that agreement had been reached not to publicize the details of yesterday's discussions. "One thing that I can say is that I wish to hope that the numerous arguments presented by the foreign minister directly dispelled the concerns of my colleagues as to whether the issues of the Armenian Genocide and Karabakh might be conditions at the core of the negotiations," the deputy stated. Ms. Zohrabyan noted that the "road map" was elucidated to a certain degree. "In other words, certain deadlines are specified as to when various steps must be implemented. But at this time they aren't being published because negotiations are still underway. Officials at the session stated that the public will be informed to a greater degree in the near future. That's to say no steps will be taken without informing the public and political sector, stated the deputy. She assessed the coalition's request that the ARF remain in its parliamentary posts as a civilized and political gesture made on behalf of the majority. "I am certain that the response of the ARF will be positive," concluded Deputy Zohrabyan.
