Pupils From Armenia, Javakhk Take Part in Shushi Chess Tournament
Yesterday the Third RoA Pupils' Chess Olympiad ended in the city of Shushi, NKR. Eighteen teams from Armenia, ASrtsakh and Javakhk participated in the chess tournament.
The top three places in the round robin tournament were clinched by teams from Yerevan, with the teams from Stepanakert coming in fourth place. The winners were awarded certificates of honor, a variety of expensive prizes and computers.
Pupils from Armenia and Javakhk were also taken on a tour of Shushi's historic sights and various cultural monuments in Artsakh including the Gandzasar and Amaras monasteries.
The board of the Shushi Renaissance Foundation organized the tournament.
