The "Union of Armenian Nationalists" (UAN) has issued a public statement declaring that its member organizations and supporters will not be participating in the May 31 Yerevan municipal elections. The UAN says that it has adopted this stance because those political forces registered with the Central Electoral Committee to run in the elections do not represent the best national interests of the Armenian people. It calls on all its supporters to boycott the elections.
