Prosperous Armenia Party MP Nayra Zohrabyan has called the "Hetq" office to refute charges that she hit Hasmik Ghazaryan, President of the Shengavit 11/04 Polling Station Committee, in the head with her cell phone. MP Zohrabyan had visited the polling station and claims to have witnessed Hasmik Ghazaryan leaving her post on several occasions and escorting several people inside. When Zohrabyan confronted Ghazaryan, telling her that she would not allow such violations, the MP says that the elections committee president assaulted her. "She attacked me and got a just response," says Zohrabyan, adding that, "I slapped her and it was the right thing to do." Ghazaryan told our reporter that Zohrabyan showed up and started to make a scene about violations occurring at the polling station. "In fact, the only irregularity was that there were lines of people outside and we were trying to restore some semblance of order," she stated.
