On the basis of recorded violations during the May 31 municipal elections in Yerevan, Norayr Yeghiazaryan, a member of the electoral committee serving election district #8, polling station #5, was taken into custody yesterday on suspicion of vote fraud. On the same day, Armen Ohanyan, a voter at the same polling station, was also detained for questioning on similar charges. On the basis of information that appeared in Hetq, along with A1+ and Lragir, regarding election violations in polling stations 01, 05, 08, 09, 21 and 24 in election district #8, a criminal case was enacted according to Article 150 of the RoA Criminal Code. A preliminary investigation is being launched by the RoA Special Investigative Agency.
