The RoA and NKR Ministries of Culture will organize an event aimed to raise funds for the renovation of the Vahram Papazyan State Theater in Stepanakert. The event will take the form of a TV marathon and the participation of viewers in Armenia and the diaspora is expected. NKR cultural minister Lernik Hakobyan told Hetq that the fundraiser will most likely take place this month and that it will include performances of Karabakh theatrical and music groups in Armenia. Mr. Hakobyan said that about $2 million is needed to renovate the theater and that the NKR government will make up the difference if the TV marathon fails to raise the required sum.
