A ceremony marking the 15th anniversary of the fourteen freedom fighters that lost their lives on the Karabakh battlefield on April 21, 1994 took place today at the Yerablur military cemetery. The fourteen belonged to the Shengavit #1 assault unit. After much effort, their remains were transferred to Armenia a few weeks after they fell. Today, they lie buried side by side on the hills of Yerablur. Paying their respects to the 14 were representatives of the RoA Defense Ministry, General Headquarters Command Staff and representatives of the Shengavit community. Top ranking military official also visited the Shengavit monument in honor of fallen war dead and placed wreaths in commemoration of their sacrifice.
