The "ReAnimania" animation festival is scheduled to take place in Yerevan from October 3-6. Festival Director Vrezh Kasouny stated at a press conference today that the primary aim of the event is to spur the development of the animation arts in Armenia. Animation master classes and animated films will be an integral part of the festival. The festivals honorary advisory committee includes luminaries as noted animator Robert Sahakyants, "Golden Apricot Film Festival" President Harutyun Khachatryan, National Cinema Center Director Gevorg Gevorgyan and Jean Mardigian, Founder of France's Picture Gallery. "ReAnimania" is collaborating with the AnSi International Animation Festival, according to Mr. Kasouny. Film entries are being accepted for review until August 10. Applications are available at the festival's website: www.reanimania.com. Mr. Kasouny stated that to date 15 applications have been received from overseas and 3 from Armenia.
