
Eleven year-old Andranik Aleksanyan was declared the 1st prize winner of the 7th "Vitebsk 2009" international song competition late last night and walked away with the $3,000 top prize. Andranik represented Ukraine in the competition that took place in Belarus.
Andranik will also be representing Ukraine in the Junior Eurovision competition taking place on November 21 in Kiev.
The international junior song contest Vitebsk 2009 is part of the Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk festival. Taking part in the competition were 19 young singers from 16 countries.
