The striking workers at the Deno Gold Mining Plant in Kapan have taken their protest straight to the Syunik Regional Administration. Sourik Khachatryan, the Regional Administrator, met with the strikers and heard their list of grievances, focusing on the new bonus plan proposed by plant management. Mr. Khachatryan suggested that he along with management and labor sit down and discuss the impasses and come up with mutually agreeable solutions. Presently, the workers are waiting outside the Regional Administration building for plant manager Rober Faletta to show up.
