The ARF called off its scheduled protest for today outside the RoA Ministry of Foreign Affairs in light of yesterday's air disaster involving Caspian Airlines flight 7908. The protest, which was to be coordinated with similar actions at Armenian embassies in other countries, was to highlight the opposition of the ARF to the ministry's policies regarding Armenian-Turkish rapprochement and NKR negotiations. The ARF forwarded a letter to the embassies of Russia, France and the United States, the countries represented by the Minsk Group Co-chairs, protesting what it called the "unfair and unjust" pressure being brought to bear on Armenia on the eve of the meeting in Moscow between the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan.
