Russian Singers Barred From Azerbaijan Due to NKR Visas

Foreign citizens whose passports bear a visa issued by the NKR or who have been identified as even travelling to Karabakh are denied entry into Azerbaijan. The official website of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry is constantly updating its list of individuals who travel to Karabakh and those organizations who have various dealings with the NKR government. The Regnum news agency reports that these lists are then circulated to various Azerbaijani agencies that see to it that individuals appearing on the lists, including athletes and show-business stars, are not allowed into the country. For example the Russian singers Katya Lel, Soso Pavliashvili, Aziza and others aren't allowed to give concerts in Azerbaijan because they have done so in Karabakh in the past. Lately, foreign citizens entering the NKR can choose whether or not to have entry visas stamped in their passports.
