The case involving attorneys Duana Grigoryan, Ara Zakaryan and Artur Grigoryan, all charged with "disrespecting the institution of the Court" will soon go to trial.
Attorney Diana Grigoryan told "Hetq" that, "We are presently studying the court files after which we will make our motions.
All three have been charges with violating Article 343 of the RoA Criminal Code. Armenia's Human Rights Ombudsman Armen Harutunyan has petitioned the Constitutional Court do review whether the codes involved do not in fact contradict several clauses of the RoA constitution.
All three attorneys refused to accept provisions of the general amnesty that would have allowed for their release from responsibility stating that they are innocent of all charges and expect to be vindicated in court.
They claim that they are being persecuted for defending individuals charged with various crimes surrounding the events of March 1, 2008.
