A short while ago, the Kentron and Nork-Marash District Court, in a closed door session, decided to extend the detention of Haykakan Zhamanak Chief Editor Nikol Pashinyan by another two months. Mr. Pashinyan's detention was to have ended on September 1. Today's court hearing lasted more than three hours. The editor and opposition activist is charges with organizing mass public disturbances, using force against a representative of the state and violating the law regarding the staging of public events.
