Court Releases Arshaluys Hakobyan from Pre-Trial Detention
After a review of the charges against Helsinki Association observer Arshaluys Hakobyan, alleging that he used physical force against a representative of the government, the General Prosecutor’s Office has found that the indictment must be modified.
Thus, it presented a motion yesterday at the Kentron and Nork Marash District Court to have the court proceedings postponed. The Prosecutor’s Office also motioned the court to release Mr. Hakobyan from pre-trial detention and have him sign a guarantee that he would not abscond. The court sustained the motion and ordered Mr. Hakobyan released.
